My Music Life

In my family we always say “Music, Chocolate, and Laughing makes the world go around”. I totally agree with this statement. Music does make the world go round. In every country/city there is music whether it’s pop, country, aboriginal, jazz, folk,blues, hip hop or reggae. Every country/city’s music makes them unique. 

My dad is the DJ of the family, no seriously he used to be one! When we young, my brother and I were brought up on Queen, Abba, and Kylie Minogue. We always used to have dance sessions putting the music up really loud and dancing around the living area. We both would be doing stupid, crazy moves with mum and dad and sometimes we would put on shows. We have ton of video’s of Will in his underpants, shoes and socks dancing around. Will stamping and jumping his tiny feet to the beat. He is so cute! We still have dancing session but not as crazy. I remember at christmas I got an Abba dvd and I was so happy, jumping up and down with joy! 

I am obsessed with music whenever I have to clean, cook, or am getting ready I always have my headphones on blasting music or my Computer will be playing my music. I have to sing when I listen I cannot just listen I have to sing along. When I have to clean my room I shut the door put my headphones on and I listen to music so loud I can’t hear myself singing. Apparently when I sing I sound like i’m screaming and am completely off tune, but I don’t care. Once when I was singing with headphones on Will barged through the door screaming he had enough of my singing because I sucked at it. 

The band I am into right now is “Marina and the Diamonds: Electra Heart” I love her she is sooooooo good! My favorite songs by her are Primadona, "How to be a Heartbreaker", "Primadonna Girl" and,"The state of dreaming". I found out about her from my mum who saw her on the Graham Norton Show. I haven’t stopped listening to her for a least 5 days! Her music and voice are so unique. 

I love lots of different types of music. My music taste has grown over the years.  My dad is always introducing me music he enjoys such as, Metric or Monsters and Men. His favorite band is Radio Head. If you ever need any music suggestions he the one to go to or just go my mum because she is pretty awesome too. You can tell my dad has a passion for music as I do because he is always playing his it nonstop. Sometimes I don’t agree with the music he enjoys but most of the time I do. Thank you dad and mum for bringing me up with music! I don’t how I would survive without the blaring music in my ears everyday. I would recommend you listen to the following artists: Matt Corby, Ron Pope, and Ed Sheeran.
